Courses Offered

  • This AHA certification course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. Participants train to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

    This course teaches:

    • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants

    • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components

    • Important early use of an AED

    • Effective ventilations using a barrier device

    • Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR

    • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

    New Certification - $90 per person

  • This AHA certification course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, other requirement, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency.

    This course teaches:

    • Adult and Child CPR and AED

    • Infant CPR

    • First aid basics

    • Medical emergencies

    • Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies

    Renewal — $70 per person

    New Certification — $90 per person

  • This is a non-certification course designed by the AHA for parents, grandparents, babysitters, teen groups, such as Boy/Girl Scouts, or anyone that wants to be prepared for an emergency.

    This course teaches:

    • Adult Hands-Only CPR

    • Adult and Child CPR with breaths

    • Adult and Child AED use

    • Infant CPR

    • Adult, Child, and Infant Choking Rescue

    Cost:

    $30 per person

  • This 6-hour curriculum was designed by Safe Sitter, Inc. to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. This instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students will even use manikins to practice skills like diaper changing, choking rescue, and CPR.

    All students will receive a Safe Sitter Essentials booklet and a completion certificate.

    $90 per person

  • This 90-minute program was designed by Safe Sitter, Inc. for groups of students in grades 6-8 who are interested in learning how to safely care for children. Intro to Safe Babysitting covers child development, child care routines, and behavior management. This introductory level program is great for troops! Badges are available.

    Students will receive an Intro to Safe Babysitting booklet and a completion certificate.

    $55 per person

  • This 90-minute program was designed by Safe Sitter, Inc. for students in grades 4-6 to prepare them to be safe when they are home alone. This introductory level program prepares students to care for themselves when parents are away for short periods of time. Content includes how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are also introduced to the Safe Sitter First Aid Chart. This program is designed to prepare students for their first steps towards independence.

    All students will receive a Safe@Home booklet and a completion certificate.
